Greetings to the membership of the Rhode Island Mortgage Bankers Association. It is my distinct pleasure to introduce our brand, spanking new website. I am confident that you will find the new site a dramatic improvement over our prior version. Much more informationwill be available to you on a regular basis in real time. Much more, if I may use a phrase that has become a bit overused, "user friendly".
This project has been years in the making and has suffered many fits and starts, and I would be remiss if I did not congratulate Carolyn Dion-Motta for her considerable dedication, patience, and persistence in seeing it through toits unveiling. That said, kudos to the newest co-chairs of our Technology and Communications Committee, Dave Welsh of Rhode Island Housing, and Bruce Ocko of Citizens Bank, who stepped up to the plate and took aggressive control and responsibility to make this happen for all of us. They spent countless hours of their valuable time to conduct the necessary research, interview prospective site developers, make final recommendations to the Board, and work with the site developer to ensure fruition. Service on the Board is strictly volunteer and mostly after hours from their "real" jobs so their contributions cannot possibly be understated.
