What Is The CAI ?
The Community Associations Institute is a professional organization of 15,000 members nation-wide whose goal is to both oversee the development and ensure the continuing success of sound community organizations that are responsive to the many needs of their members. Originally founded in 1973, the membership of The Community Associations Institute includes individual homeowners, community managers and management firms, as well as builders, developers, accountants, lawyers, lenders, and insurance providers - all of whom are dedicated to developing and sustaining more livable and vibrant communities with their broad range of experience in the field.
The CAI works in concert with both their regional and local chapters nationwide to carry on their continuing research in the latest developments in community association management, finance and law. The Community Associations Institute is widely considered to be the clearinghouse for both the very best current practices in community management and the most recent information on innovations in association management across the country.
The CAI further serves its members through seminars, workshops, books and continuing education as well as professional research, the results of which are published in Common Ground magazine and their series of specialized newsletters on community association management.
What Is a CMCA?
A Certified Manager of Community Associations has both the professional knowledge and the expertise over a broad range of topics that are required to effectively manage homeowner and condominium associations and cooperatives. Through a comprehensive certification exam, rigorous professional standards and continued training requirements, the CMCA certification helps to ensure that the manager has this specialized knowledge, experience and the professional integrity to provide the best possible service for your association. Those authorized to use the CMCA credential have agreed to maintain and uphold these principles of professionalism, integrity, diligence and ethical conduct when dealing with the needs of their clients.
What Is an AMS?
An Association Management Specialist has earned professional management recognition by The Community Associations Institute. Through advanced training and education, the AMS designation helps ensure that the manager has the knowledge, experience and integrity to provide the best possible service to your association. AMS designees have made a firm commitment to continuing education and must adhere to a professional code of ethics.
Finally, Why Is a CMCA and AMS Important to You?
As a board member, trustee, or volunteer leader of your community association, you have fiduciary responsibilities to the homeowners in your community requiring you to receive professional advice that must be both reliable and accurate.
By hiring a Certified Manager the board can be fully confident that their manager understands those obligations that you have to your community as well as his obligations to you. Your Certified Manager is a trusted professional who will not only commit himself to helping you fulfill your responsibilities to the community but help you to preserve and protect your important investment in that community as well.
Fully trained to deal with all of the administrative and operational concerns of the community, your Certified Manager will then give you, the members of the board, the freedom to focus on the sound decision-making processes necessary to realize your vision of a community that is both vibrant and spirited with a future that is sound and secure.
If you would like to move your community further toward your vision for its sound future, then Premier Property Management is clearly the obvious choice.
