The Elms Retirement Residence was founded in the year 1985 with a mission to serve the elderly communities of Southern Rhode Island and Southeastern Connecticut. Today after many renovations and growth, we have two dedicated memory care communities and offer 74 suites of various floor plan layouts for assisted living of independent seniors. We have about 130 residents and 100 employees including a specialized staff of Trained Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Resident Care Providers and Master Trainers. The Elms campus is situated in the gracious Victorian neighborhood just outside downtown Westerly. The location is in a thoughtful neighborhood design with abundant green space and accessibility. The campus is just a few minutes away from churches, shops and galleries and the easy sidewalk access along the Elm Street directly leads to theaters, parks and libraries. At Elms rather than treating people as numbers we treat them as individuals and offer the highest level of personalized care and attention with freedom of choice and respect for privacy and social diversity.
